A revolutionary connector that provides a constant velocity of fluid which exits the catheter upon disconnection of a luer. This positive displacement feature prevents back flow of blood into the catheter lumen which can lead to thrombotic occlusions. It is the technology of the CLC2000 to permit the use of saline flush for any vascular access device, including central venous access.
