The Kangaroo 224 is a very simple and uncomplicated pump; there are only three control buttons, ON, OFF, and START/HOLD, and a knob on the side of the unit which sets the rate. There is no dose function or volume delivered readout, and the pump delivers until the enteral bag is empty. No memory function.Kangaroo 224 contains a hall-effect switch in the tubing channel which senses the presence of a magnetic disc on the Sherwood administration set. Rate Parameters: 5-300 mL/hr. in 5 mL increments. Features: LED readout; Side wheel rate input; Touch panel inputs for On, Off, and Start/Hold. Alarms: Occlusion/Empty, Low Battery, and Hold. Integral pole clamp. Battery: Fully charged lasts approx. 24 hours at 125 mL/hr. Recharge time: for discharged battery approx. 15 hours. Accuracy: ± 10%
